KALATHRA DOSHA

Meaning - The Kalathra - the house of the spouse can bear dosha  .

A dosha is created if papagrahas are found in 1,2,4,7,8,12 houses. The Papagrahas are Mars,Sun, Saturn, Rahu & Ketu.

Also the position of Venus for men and position of jupiter for men in order to know about the partner.

7th house is Kalathra house and the karaka of the house is Venus..

If the 7th house owner is malefic or placed in dusthana houses like 6,8,12 or the house gets the aspect of malefic or bhadaka planets or malefic planets are placed in the house than it leads to Dosha.

In a village 24 kms North west of Tiruchy town there is a temple calle `Gilivaneshwarar temple, where a marriage has to be conducted to the Banana plant, after doing the first marriage the proper marriage can be conducted later , this is believed to remove the dosham from the candidate.

The Story behind -

Once Lord Shiva choose to do penance here. His escort Parvathi also wanted to join him there. But the place was barren and she invited from the heavens some virgin angels who became the Banana plants and made the place cool and shady. From then this place is known to help the persons affected by kalathra dosha.
